2018 Ladies Club Championship – Conditions of Play

CONDITIONS OF PLAY

NOMINATIONS CLOSE: 2pm Thursday 10th May

ENTRY FEE: $50.00 per player for 72 holes

CART HIRE FEE: $30 for each round

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

  1. Entries will only be accepted by Nomination
  2. Online Nomination Forms available via the Members Portal
  3. Nominations must be received by the closing date
  4. No refunds will be given if a player choses to withdrawn from the Championship after commencement of Round 1. Further, if a player chooses to play in a overflow competition/s after the withdrawal additional competition/s fees will apply
  5. Only players who have confirmed their nomination through payment of the Entry Fee by cash to the starter before play on Round 1 will be eligible to contest in the Championship
  6. Championship is open to Full, Intermediate, Junior & Over Eighty Headland Golf Club members only. Country & Restricted Members may only win nett events
  7. Motorised Carts may be used in all rounds (reservations MUST be received with Nomination)
  8. The Competition shall be under the management and control of the Championship Committee, the composition of the Committee being determined by the Headland Golf Club. A decision of the Championship Committee will be final in all matters and in the absence of the full Committee, such members thereof as may be present at any time may give a decision and that decision shall be deemed to be the decision of the full Committee. The Committee reserve the right to alter these Conditions of Play should the need arise
  9. The Championship is to be played under the Headland Golf Club Standard Conditions of Play (as advertised in the Members Handbook). Specific and / or supplementary conditions listed here shall replace the relevant part of the Standard Conditions of Play
  10. The Championship Committee reserves the right to fix and/or alter starting times; to shorten the Competition or fix another day or venue; to vary any condition; to reject any entry without assigning any reason thereof; and to restrict the size of the field for any round of any competition
  11. Any disputes must be made in writing within 15 minutes of completing the round and the decision of the Championship Committee shall be final
  12. All decisions for championship rounds affected by rain or extreme conditions will be made on a case-by-case basis by the Match Committee. If the Championship is weather shortened, Honour Board & Major events it will only be deemed official after 36 holes, with the Championship Committee making every effort to complete as many rounds as possible. No partial rounds will count
  13. The Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews will apply, with such Local Rules as are approved by the Championship Committee. Any Supplementary Local Rules for the day will be posted on the Local Rules Board located outside the Locker Room

PLAYER INFORMATION:

  1. Tee Markers: Ladies – Red (Slope 129)
  2. The GA Handicap Limits: Ladies – 45.4
  3. Nearest the Pins: Will be awarded on 5th, 8th, 14th & 18th holes for Rounds 1-4
  4. Members are reminded to check Local Rules board prior to the commencement of play for daily rules
  5. Daily Handicap Championship Grades:
  1. Grades for Honour Board & Major events will be determined as of Round 1
  2. Major Nett events will be decided via Daily handicap as of Round 1
  3. Minor Nett events will be decided via Daily handicap on day of competition

DRAW:

  1. Tee Times will be allocated by Administration. Draw and applicable tee-times for Rounds 1-3 will be completed by 5pm on Friday 11th May (Members will receive a email notification regarding tee-times by 5pm on Friday 11th May)
  2. A graded seeded draw (aggregate gross) for Round 4 will be completed by 5pm on Tuesday 29th Live Scoring for the Top 4 in each grade will also be in operations throughout Round 4
  3. Every attempt will be made to accommodate playing partner requests for Rounds 1-3 however the draw will be considered final

  1. HONOUR BOARD
  1. MAJOR
  1. MINOR

Note 1: Players can only win one (1) Honour Board or Major event trophy for the Championship (72 holes) except they may also be eligible for the 36 Hole Junior Championship or one (1) of either the  72 Hole Senior Championship or 36 Hole Senior Championship

Note 2: Players can only receive one (1) Minor event per Round with Gross taking precedent over Nett

Note 3: Senior Championship events are 60+ age restricted as of Round 1

Note 4: Junior Championship events are <18 age restricted as of Round 1

Note 5: In the event of a tie in the Honour Board Championship (all three grades) there will be a sudden death playoff beginning at the first hole. All other ties will be decided by countback
