4BBB Match Play Event – Conditions of Play
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
4BBB MATCH PLAY EVENT
SUNDAY 28TH OCTOBER 2018 (Qualification)
ENTRY FEE: No additional entry fee applies to this event
MATCH PLAY SCHEDULE:
- Qualification Date – Sunday 28th October 2018
- Quarter Finals – To be played on Sunday 4th November 2018
- Semi Finals – To be played on Sunday 18th November 2018
- Final – To be played on Sunday 25th November 2018
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- Open to all members of Headland Golf Club with a GA handicap
- Only teams who have confirmed payment of the normal competition fee on the qualification date by cash to the starter before play will be eligible to qualify for the Matchplay rounds
- Motorised Carts may be used in all rounds (reservations MUST be made with the Proshop)
- The Event shall be under the management and control of the Championship Committee, the composition of the Committee being determined by the Headland Golf Club. A decision of the Event Committee will be final in all matters and in the absence of the full Committee, such members thereof as may be present at any time may give a decision and that decision shall be deemed to be the decision of the full Committee. The Committee reserve the right to alter these Conditions of Play should the need arise
- The Event is to be played under the Headland Golf Club Standard Conditions of Play (as advertised in the Members Handbook). Specific and / or supplementary conditions listed here shall replace the relevant part of the Standard Conditions of Play
- The Event Committee reserves the right to fix and/or alter starting times; to shorten the Competition or fix another day or venue; to vary any condition; to reject any entry without assigning any reason thereof; and to restrict the size of the field for any round of any competition
- Any disputes must be made in writing within 15 minutes of completing the round and the decision of the Event Committee shall be final
- The Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews will apply, with such Local Rules as are approved by the Event Committee. Any Supplementary Local Rules for the day will be posted on the Local Rules Board located outside the Locker Room
PLAYER INFORMATION:
- All matches to be played off current daily handicap on day of play
- Handicaps for Matchplay are the full difference between the players, with the lowest marker to concede the difference in strokes to the other players (Players will apply the stroke/s per hole as applicable in the Matchplay Index)
- Tee Markers: Match Play rounds to be played off competition of the day markers
- Members are reminded to check Local Rules board prior to the commencement of play for daily rules
DRAW:
- Top 8 4BBB Stableford scores from the qualification date will be eligible to play knockout team 4BBB Matchplay in accordance with the Rules of Golf. Countbacks for qualification spots will be determined by the standard Golf Australia countback system
- A Matchplay Draw will be made available by Friday 19th October at 5pm via the online members portal

Prizes to be awarded to the 1st & 2nd placed teams
